In order to improve the quality of internship training, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University regularly conducts visits to internship bases and meetings with the administration of healthcare institutions, mentors and interns.

On August 22, 2024, the administration of VSMU, headed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, visited healthcare institutions in Mogilev, where VSMU graduates undergo internship: Mogilev City Emergency Hospital, Mogilev Central Polyclinic, Mogilev City Emergency Station, Mogilev Hospital No. 1, Mogilev Regional Oncology Dispensary, Mogilev Regional Clinical Hospital, Mogilev Regional Children's Hospital.

A meeting was held with the management of the above-mentioned institutions, mentors and interns. VSMU administration got acquainted with the conditions for organizing the first workplace of interns.

During the conversation, much attention was paid to the labor, social and legal aspects of the internship of graduates, issues of adaptation in the team, as well as the emotional and psychological state of interns.

It was noted that interns can count on comprehensive assistance from the university in resolving issues arising in the workplace related to professional activities, legal and social-psychological assistance. In order to resolve such issues, VSMU has a specialized hotline and a sector for working with interns and young specialists.
