The 1st and 3rd year students of the pharmaceutical faculties of Samara State Medical University and St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical University had the opportunity from July 1 to July 5, 2024 to undergo pharmacognostic training at VSMU.

Together with the head of the department Alla Pogotskaya the guys visited the botanical garden of VSMU, where they got acquainted with the collection of medicinal plants. On July 2, the students and practice leaders visited one of the leading enterprises in Belarus for the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants - Kalina LLC. The employees of the enterprise and personally director V.V. Murashko introduced the guests to the production of medicinal products, dietary supplements and herbal teas.

During the program on July 4, we also visited the Vitebsk Regional Control and Analytical Laboratory. The Head Torbina T.M. gave an interesting and informative tour and explained the aspects of the laboratory’s work. The guys actively asked questions and received comprehensive answers.

Alla Pogotskaya introduced the students to the structure of the university and the library. The Head of the Department of General and Clinical Biochemistry with the course of FAT and PR at VSMU Galina Fomchenko showed how training sessions are organized and conducted.
