The solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas of Vitebsk State Medical University to graduates of the Faculty of Medicine took place in the hall of the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers.

414 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, including 61 holders of diplomas with honors, leave Alma Mater.

The head of the state examination commission, the chief specialist of the main health department of the Vitebsk regional executive committee for obstetrics and gynecology Natalia Serzhantova addressed the graduates with a parting word:

"Today, together with the diploma, the state gives you the right to interfere in the most precious thing a person has - his health. This imposes on you a high responsibility for all your upcoming affairs. I wish you to achieve high professionalism and mastery in your chosen specialty!"

Natalya Dana and Tatyana Korotkevich were awarded with the gratitude from the regional committee of the Belarusian State Medical University for high academic achievements and for participation in the work of the primary trade union organization of VSMU.

Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BTUHW Vladimir Plytkevich noted:

“The smartest, most talented, educated young specialists from a leading state medical university are joining our friendly company of the medical community. You can always count on the support of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers. I wish you great success in your future activities!”

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of VSMU Natalya Konevalova and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Marina Fomina presented the graduates with university diplomas and Gratitude. The shoulder straps of a lieutenant of the reserve medical service were presented by the head of the military department - Igor Lyatos.

The finale of the event was the performance of the composition “The Best University in the World,” which, without exaggeration, was sung by the entire audience.
