On June 14, 2024, a solemn Council dedicated to the Day of Medical Workers was held at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The event was opened by VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov addressing those present with a welcoming speech.

The Vice-Rector for Medical Work Maxim Savchuk made a report on the results of clinical work done by the university staff.

The work of the Council was attended by the Chairman of the Standing Commission on Industry, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport and Communications, member of the Council of the House of Representatives Yuri Panfilov, the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Health of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Lyudmila Kovaleva, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers Vladimir Plytkevich, the General Director of the Vitebsk trade and production Republican Unitary Enterprise “Pharmacia” Ekaterina Boriseevich.
