On June 1-2, 2024, the Vitebsk Open Badminton Cup among men and women was held in the large sports hall of VSMU. The students and staff of our university took an active part in these competitions.

In singles among men, Kanishk Ratnakumar, (the 3rd year FOST) took 1st place; Yuri Suvorov (sports club instructor) – 2nd place, Vijesena Minura Ransika (5th year FOST) – 3rd place.

In women's singles, Nanayakkara Himandhi (2nd year, FOST) took 1st place. In men's doubles, Vijesena Minur Ransika and Kanishk Ratnakumar took 1st place; Suvorov Yuri took 2nd place; Abdelgelil Mohomed (5th year, FOST) and Mosbah Omar (3rd year, FOST) took 3rd place.

In women's doubles, Nanayakkara Himandhi and Ruvini Kapurge (2nd year FOST) took 1st place; Leskova Natalya (senior teacher of the department of general and clinical pharmacology) – 3rd place.
