On May 12, 2024, at the site near the flagpole of the Vitebsk State Medical University, a regional solemn ceremony was held to celebrate the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.

The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the region and the city, representatives of public organizations, students of Vitebsk educational establishments, students and staff of VSMU.

The State Flag and the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus were brought in to the sounds of a military orchestra.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Linevich  addressed those gathered with words of congratulations.

Four students from educational establishments  in our city were awarded the honor of taking the oath of allegiance to the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus on behalf of the younger generation. Among them is VSMU student Karolina Grigorieva, who is a part of the personnel reserve of the Republican Youth Council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

The National Anthem of our country was performed.
