On April 24, 2024, VSMU hosted a dialogue platform with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, dedicated to the topic of genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
The speaker of the event was the assistant prosecutor of the city of Vitebsk Vladimir Aleksandrovich Poluyanchik.
Vladimir Aleksandrovich spoke about the progress of the investigation into the criminal case initiated on the facts of genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War and in the post-war period, and also emphasized the importance of the investigation and the inevitability of fair punishment for Nazi criminals and their accomplices involved in the death of millions of Belarusians.
As part of the work on the criminal case, many facts were revealed that confirm that the main goal of the Nazis and their accomplices during the war was the ethnic extermination of the Belarusian people.
Working with archival materials allows us to assert that the real numbers of civilian deaths are higher than thought all these years.
