On April 17, 2024 on the basis of the Children's Regional Clinical Center was held a training seminar "Practical issues of pediatric dermatology", which was organized by the Department of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology together with the departments of pediatrics and general medical practice. The seminar was attended by the students and clinical residents of the medical and pediatric faculties, as well as the faculty of training of foreign citizens. This event aroused interest among pediatricians, dermatovenerologists and general practitioners. The seminar program included topical issues of practical dermatology and pediatrics.
The Head of the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology Professor V.P. Adaskevich in his report presented new data on the pathogenesis, differential diagnosis, features of the clinic torpid course, therapy and prevention of atopic dermatitis in children. The Associate Professor of the Department of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology Zykova O.S. presented modern data on psoriasis in childhood with examples of clinical cases from practice and methods of therapy based on evidence-based medicine. The report of Associate Professor Katina M.A. was devoted to the actual topic "Nevuses of childhood and adolescence", which presented the latest data on the classification, clinical picture, diagnostic methods and therapy of nevi.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pediatrics Associate Professor Ryabova T.M. in her report on problem skin in the period of newborn and infant age emphasized on unique clinical examples the peculiarities of interaction with the relatives of children suffering from severe skin diseases. The Associate Professor of the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology Tikhonovskaya I.V. in the report "Fungal infections of skin and skin appendages in children" reported on the peculiarities of the clinic and therapy of dermatomycosis in children at the present stage with examples of interesting clinical cases. The seminar held at the junction of several specialties is very important and useful for further interaction with colleagues, and for those studying at our university it is an opportunity to expand their knowledge in pediatric dermatology.
