On April 10, 2024, a joint regional scientific and practical conference of neurologists and neurosurgeons with the “Belarusian Association of Doctors” was held at the Vitebsk State Medical University, dedicated to the results of the work and directions for improving the neurological and neurosurgical services of the Vitebsk region.

The conference was attended by the Deputy Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Neurology and Neurosurgery E.N. Vasilevich, the chief freelance angioneurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus S.V. Marchenko, the Chairman of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Association of Doctors A.A. Aniskovich, the employees of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of VSMU, the neurologists and neurosurgeons of the Vitebsk region.

Reports on the work of the services were made by the main freelance specialists of the Main Directorate of Health Care of the Vitebsk Region E.V. Semenov, G.I. Naumov and N.V. Zhigur.

Reports on the latest achievements and events in clinical neurology were made by the Head of the department, Yu.V. Alekseenko. Professor K.M. Kubrakov spoke about modern possibilities for diagnosing and treating carpal tunnel syndrome. The head of the department of neurology and neurosurgery of the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, S.V. Marchenko dedicated his speech to the issues of optimizing the work of the stroke center in the Vitebsk region.

The veteran of the neurological service, neurologist T.M. Arsenkina, was honored, as well as the solemn acceptance of the intern doctors as members of the Belarusian Society of Neurologists.
