On March 14, 2024, Maslenitsa was celebrated cheerfully and noisily at VSMU.

The Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov, the representatives of the administration, the staff and students of the university took part in the celebration.

Alexey Nikolaevich noted: “It is gratifying that this holiday is popular among foreign students, which, of course, helps to familiarize ourselves with the culture of our country and unite our friendly student family.”

Guests of the national holiday were presented with a variety of cultural and sports programs: a competition among faculties for speedy eating of pancakes, round dances, competitions in strength and dexterity, fiery songs and dances. And the culmination of this bright holiday was the burning of the Maslenitsa effigy.

Now nothing can stop spring from coming into its own!
