In preparation for the single voting day, in order to create comfortable conditions for voters with disabilities, a number of events were held aimed at training members of election commissions and volunteers who will be involved in polling stations on the single voting day.

As part of the cooperation between VSMU and the Vitebsk city organization of the Belarusian Society of Disabled People, the employees of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with the course of FAT and PR at VSMU, the trainee teacher (defectologist) Anastasia Kovalenko and the aboratory assistant Anton Shmelev acted as speakers at the event “Implementation of the principles of openness and transparency in elections”, held on February 6, 2024, at VSU named after P.M. Masherov for the members of the election commissions. Also, the employees of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with a course of physical education and training at VSMU took part in a seminar with the aim of teaching the features of inclusive communication with people of older age groups and with people with visual impairments, which took place on February 7, 2024, at the Media Center of the Vitebsk Region. Volunteers from all over the Vitebsk region took part in the seminar in online and offline formats.
