On December 28, 2023, the opening of the exhibition “Nostalgia”, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the formation of the BSSR, took place in the main educational building of VSMU.

The VSMU Rector Aleksey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Boltrushevich and the Secretary of the "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" of the VSMU Natalya Gaponko addressed those present with a welcoming speech.

As part of the exhibition, one could see many exhibits: Soviet coins, equipment, Christmas tree decorations, board games, badges, wardrobe items, and applied art. The exhibition was organized by the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of the University; not only students, but also the employees actively participated in the creation of the exhibition.

During the event, all university dormitories were awarded with gratitude for their participation in the competition among VSMU dormitories for the best design of entrance groups, halls, rooms and Christmas trees “We are celebrating the New Year”.

At the end, the guests were congratulated by Father Frost and the Snow Maiden and given a gift: watching a film cartoon on a Soviet overhead projector.
