December 4, 2023 on the basis of the Vitebsk State Medical University, within the framework of the implementation of the Program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021–2025, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated July 29, 2021 No. 292, an agreement was signed on the creation of a scientific and educational cluster “Medicine and pharmaceuticals - innovative projects." The signing ceremony of the agreement was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov, the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Glushin.

The creation of this Cluster will make it possible to use the advantages of intra-cluster interaction in order to strengthen the educational, scientific and production potential of the Vitebsk region for the implementation of priority areas for the development of education, science, engineering and technology, healthcare and pharmacy, the introduction of the results of intellectual activity into the practice of enterprises and organizations, and the growth of competitiveness of the Vitebsk region.
