On October 11 – 13, 2023, the GrSMU hosted a table tennis tournament for the University Rector’s Cup. Students from all medical universities of our country took part in the event. VSMU was represented at the competition by the team of boys: Dmitry Gromov (6 MF), Andrey Zhilich (5 MF), Vladislav Postolov (3 MF), Ilya Kapitonov (3 SF) and the team of girls: Ekaterina Lavitskaya (5 PhF), Veronika Denisik (4 PhF ), Kristina Pogodkina (3 MF), Valeria Kayukalo (3 SF) led by coach Alexander Minin, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education at VSMU.

The VSMU team took the third place among male and the second place among female teams of medical universities of the Republic of Belarus.

Ekaterina Lavitskaya was awarded the diploma in the category “Best Team Racket” in table tennis among women’s teams, and Andrei Zhilich among men’s teams.
