On October 5-6, the 2nd Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus is being held at BSUIR. Rectors of more than 50 universities in Belarus and Tajikistan gathered to participate in the forum events.

As part of the forum, the rector of Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University Alexey Chukanov and the rector of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University (ATSMU), named after Abuali ibn Sino, Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Kurbonali signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement provides for such forms of cooperation as the organization of internships, academic exchanges of students and teaching staff in current areas of vocational education, the implementation of joint educational projects, the organization of joint conferences, seminars, trainings, and other educational and cultural events. The signing of this agreement is a promising step to diversify the export of educational services and will serve to strengthen friendly ties between our countries.
