On the basis of Sports School 3, a solemn opening of a memorial plaque in memory of the honored coach of the USSR, Honorary Citizen of Vitebsk Valery Kondratenko took place. The event was attended by representatives of Regional Executive Committee and City Executive Committee, pupils of Valery Kondratenko and veterans of sports of VSMU.

Valeriy Kondratenko prepared many high-class athletes, made a great contribution to the development of sports. Symbolically, the memorial plaque was opened on the day of the open championship of Vitebsk in boxing, dedicated to the memory of the honored coach of the USSR Valery Kondratenko.
