Republican charity event “Restoration of the Shrines of Belarus”

On November 22, 2023, the final of the Republican interfaith charity event “Restoration of the Shrines of Belarus” took place. We are united by history and faith” in the Memorial Church in honor of All Saints (Minsk).

VSMU carries out consistent work to preserve historical memory in order to strengthen interfaith and national unity. In the Year of Peace and Creation, volunteers of the “Kind Heart” detachment of VSMU within the framework of the Republican charity event “Restoration of the Shrines of Belarus. We are united by history and faith" and the youth festival "Easter Blagovest" held actions to restore order on the territory of the Holy Intercession Cathedral in Vitebsk. As part of the Action conversations took place among VSMU students with the Archbishop Dimitri of Vitebsk and Orsha, the priest of the Holy Protection Cathedral in Vitebsk Boris Slutsky, and the Head of the Diaconal center of the Vitebsk diocese Inna Kostyukovich.

Invitation to the Main Christmas Tree of the Country

On the eve of the New Year, the Palace of the Republic is preparing a real holiday for children and their parents called the Main Christmas Tree of the Country! This winter, on the stage of the Great Hall of the Palace of the Republic, viewers will see the magical, fantastic New Year's fairy tale “The New Year's Time Machine” with bright decorations, costumes and wonderful music.

The main Christmas tree of the Country will take place:

from December 23 to 25, 2023 and from December 28 to 30, 2023 at 11:00, 14:30 and 18:00;

December 31, 2023 at 11:00, 14:30;

January 01, 2024 at 17:00;

from January 2 to January 5, 2024 at 11:00, 14:30, 18:00.

As part of the republican action “Don’t waste your life”

On November 22, 2023, as part of the republican action “Don’t waste your life”, organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, a meeting of the 1st year students with the senior inspector of the propaganda and public interaction sector of the Vitebsk City Department of Emergency Situations Anna Basalai and inspector Yulia Pankova took place at VSMU.

Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Establishments of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China

In order to expand cooperation with Chinese establishments of higher education, on November 21-22, 2023, the Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Establishments of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China was held in Minsk. Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov has taken part in the Forum. Within the framework of the Forum an agreement was signed on the creation of the Chinese-Belarusian Association of Universities, of which VSMU became a member.
