Events

On November 24, 2023, at gymnasium No. 1 in Vitebsk the event "A gift to a foreign guest" was held, to which students of the Sri Lankan community were invited. Schoolchildren demonstrated their talents and made interesting reports about Belarus and Vitebsk. Chairman of the Sri Lanka Community Ahmed Akil spoke about his country in English. Children and students were charged with positive emotions and new impressions.

The VSMU team won the Republican Student Olympiad in Surgery with international participation, narrowly ahead of the Siberian State Medical University (Tomsk) team, which took the 2nd place. The students from Russian National Research Medical University (Moscow) won the 3rd place in a tense competition.

On November 24, 2023, the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of VSMU Vyacheslav Prishchepenko took part in a visiting meeting of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. During the meeting young scientists got acquainted with the scientific departments of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov.

On November 23-24, 2023, on the basis of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Scientific and Practical Center for Hygiene”, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Health and the Environment” was held, in which the head of the ecological and preventive medicine department of VSMU Natalya Miklis took part as a speaker and co-chairman in the section “Safe living environment - sustainable development”.
