Young scientists can apply for an intra-university scientific startup grant for young scientists at VSMU:

• under the age of 30 years, working in positions of teaching staff (at the main place of work) for at least 1.0 pay, engaged in research activities;
• candidates of science (under the age of 35),
• graduate students of VSMU (under 30 years of age);
• doctoral students (under 40 years of age).

As part of the plan for preparing and holding events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, film documents from the funds of the archive of film and photo documents are demonstrated within the framework of the project “Open Film Archive. We brought this day nearer as hard as we could.”

On November 1, 2023, a meeting of the Student Council for the Quality of Education was held, headed by the head of the Council, Natalya Konevalova.

One of the issues discussed was the choice of a new chairman, who unanimously chose a student of the Faculty of Medicine, Yana Kaznovetskaya. Members of the Council approved the work plan for the 2023-2024 academic year and thanked Anna Kozlova for her fruitful work on the development of the Council.

On November 1, 2023, as part of the career guidance event “Become a VSMU student for one day,” students of schools and medical colleges had the opportunity to feel like students of the pediatric faculty of VSMU. Future applicants attended a lecture on medicinal chemistry, practical classes in pediatrics, and became familiar with the nutritional characteristics of children. Future students also had the opportunity to participate in resuscitation of a newborn. The children showed great interest in the profession of pediatrician, neonatologist, and pediatric surgeon.

The gala event dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League and the October Revolution Day was held in the Vitebsk concert hall. The guests of the event were congratulated by the creative groups of VSMU with their performances: the sports ballroom dance ensemble “Quickstep”, the pop song studio “Tandem”, the folk dance ensemble “Millennium”.
