On October 1, the Federal Republic of Nigeria celebrates its Independence Day annually. VSMU students of the Nigerian Community celebrated this holiday in the Vitebsk Cultural Hall. The event began with the prayer and the national anthem. Then the guys demonstrated their talents, as well as a presentation about the characteristics, traditions and beauty of this African country. National dishes, colorful costumes, songs and even theatrical performances - everything was filled with the flavor of the unique Nigerian culture.

On September 28, on the eve of the International Day of the Elderly, activists of the primary trade union organization of VSMU employees and students, together with the university administration, congratulated VSMU veterans, prisoners of the Great Patriotic War and presented them gifts.

From September 25 to September 29, 2023 at the university the «Week of Vision Zero» is held.

The purpose of the «Week of Vision Zero» is to ensure the safety and health of workers at the workplace, prevent cases of industrial injuries at the university, aimed at rapid detection of violations of labour protection standards and development and application of measures to eliminate them.

On September 28, on the eve of Teacher's Day, a solemn event at the Palace of the Republic was held, in which the delegation from VSMU took part. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko conveyed congratulations from the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and emphasized the important role of the teacher in life and formation of every citizen's personality.
