On 15/02/2024, the opening of the school “Into medical science from the first year” took place on the basis of the Vitebsk State Medical University.

The Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Elena Asiryan addressed the students with a welcoming speech. The work of the school began with a lecture by the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ivan Zhiltsov. Participants became familiar with the main sources of biomedical information. Within the framework of this school, students will be able to learn about various scientific areas being developed both around the world and at VSMU, about options for achieving results in scientific activities, about ways to implement ideas and projects with the help of startup grants, funds, etc.

On 16/02/2024, a dialogue platform was held at Vitebsk State Medical University with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics on the topic of the upcoming elections on a single voting day on February 25, 2024.

The members of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus Anna Germanova and Kira Shuverova, the Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Pediatric Faculty of VSMU Elena Batalkina,  the Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences Svyatoslav Kulik, and the employees of the Department of Educational Work with Youth took part in the dialogue platform.

From February 14 to 18, 2024, the 3rd stage of the international sports festival “Physical culture and sports - the second profession of a doctor” is taking place at the Volgograd State Medical University.

6 teams of medical universities from Vitebsk, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Donetsk take part in the sports competitions. The competition program includes volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, kettlebell lifting, darts, all-around competitions, swimming, chess.

On February 14, 2024, a solemn Council dedicated to summing up the work of VSMU for 2023 and tasks for 2024 was held at Vitebsk State Medical University.
