On April 9, 2024, a reporting and election meeting of the University Volunteer Council was held at VSMU.

The Chairman of the VSMU Volunteer Council Ksenia Kazinets presented a report on the work done by the Volunteer Council for the 2023/2024 academic year.

During the event, a new Chairman of the Council and the Head of the “Kind Heart” volunteer detachment were elected. It was a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine Daria Boykova.

On April 9, 2024, the 45th congress of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union took place in Minsk to elect delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.

A total of 80 delegates were elected from the youth organization.

As part of the Cooperation Agreement between Vitebsk State Medical University and Orenburg State Medical University, a series of lectures on pediatrics is being held in April 2024 for students of the Faculty of Medicine of VSMU. Thanks to modern teaching tools, the pediatric faculty maintains and develops cooperation with colleagues from other universities.

The team of Vitebsk State Medical University took part in the III swimming tournament for the Rector's Cup of GomSMU among medical university students.

This year, 15 student teams entered the competition: four from Belarus - teams from BSMU, VSMU, GomSMU, GrSMU and eleven from Russia - teams from medical universities from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Ryazan, Kursk, Ufa.

On April 5, 2024, within the framework of the cooperation between VSMU and Northwestern State Medical University, a visit was made to VSMU by the Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Gnathology of Northwestern State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov.
