On November 16, 2021, as part of the event program dedicated to the International Students' Day, there was a competition between faculties of VSMU taken place in the sports hall of the university. According to the results of the competition, the places among the teams were distributed as follows: the 1st place was taken by the team of the Stomatological Faculty, the 2nd place was taken by the team of the General Medicine Faculty, the 3rd one was taken by the team of the Pharmaceutical Faculty, the 4th one was taken by the team of the Overseas Students Training Faculty, and the 5th one was taken by the team of the Pediatrics Faculty. The teams were awarded medals, certificates, and cakes. In addition to it, the winning team got the cup. Sweet prizes were provided by the Students' Trade Union Committee of VSMU.

On November 16, 2021, nine vocalists took part in a competition of young pop song performers “Melofon-2021” being held at VSMU. Each of the participants performed two songs. The performances were evaluated by a professional jury. The winners were announced during the summing up event program dedicated to the International Students' Day, and were awarded diplomas and cups of laureates of the competition. The first place was taken by Randeniya Devin, the second place was taken by Alina Galchenya, and the third place was taken by Anastasia Sushkova. The Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to Olga Alekseenko. According to the results of online voting, Randeniya Devin became the owner of the Audience Choice Award of the contest of young pop song performers “Melofon-2021”. 

On November 15, 2021, there was a grand opening of the exhibition entitled “Portrait-Reflection” by a fourth-year student of the Overseas Students Training Faculty Geetansh Sharma. It is symbolic that this exhibition was included in our university event program dedicated to the International Students' Day. 

Geetansh was born and raised in the city of Gangapur, located in the Indian state of Rajasthan. His works include portraits of famous movie actors, female and child images, reflection portraits, sketches made with a simple pencil, gel pen, and felt-tip pens. Drawing is one of his favorite hobbies. Geetansh is passionate about it, despite being very busy with his studies at the medical university. We invite you to visit our new exhibition!

On November 1, 2021, on VSMU birthday , there was a grand opening of a beautiful, large, bright sports hall of the university equipped with modern facilities after the reconstruction. The Vice-rector for Educational and Ideological Affairs Natalia Gennadievna Boltrushevich handed over the symbolic key to the captains of the university student teams. At the end of this event, the match between “Sparta” and “Tarantula” teams was played, thereby having opened the series of games of the VSMU Mini-Football League. 

On October 27, 2021, the VI Forum of Youth Scientific Societies was held within the framework of the XXI International Conference for Students and Young Scientists “Student Medical Science of the XXI Century”. The Forum was traditionally organized by the Council of Young Scientists and the Council of the Student Scientific Society of Vitebsk State Medical University.

The event was held online this year. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the concept called “University 3.0”, as well as to the work of youth scientific organizations. After the solemn opening of the Forum, reports of young scientists from universities of Belarus and Russia were presented.
