For the first time at the large sports hall of VSMU, interuniversity basketball competitions called “Hyper Hoop All Star Basketball Championship-2023” were held among men's and women's teams of students from the community of Sri Lanka. Basketball Championship was organized by the dean's office of the FOST, the sports club and the Sri Lankan Medical Students Union. Students from Vitebsk, Minsk, Grodno took part in the Championship. The match between the Belarusian and Sri Lankan women's teams was very exciting. The strongest and best teams and players received prizes and trophies, but of course friendship won!

VSMU students being members of the student scientific circle of the Chair of General, Physical and Colloidal Chemistry, Ibezim Praise Odiwonma and Eneh Favour Chigozirim, took part in the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference of Foreign Students and Undergraduates “Foreign Students – Belarusian Science”, which was held on April 19 on the basis of Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. Both students received 1st degree Diplomas for their reports. Research Supervisors of the students: Z.S. Kuntsevich, T.O. Kononova. The Head of the Chair of General, Physical and Colloidal Chemistry Z.S. Kuntsevich received gratitude from the leadership of Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine for the effective scientific management of the research work of students.

There were mini-football competitions among students which were held as part of the festival program “Student Spring of VSMU – 2023”. Based on the results of the mini-football tournament award-winning places were distributed as follows: first place was taken by the FOST team, he Pharmaceutical Faculty was awarded second place, third place went to the team of the Faculty of General Medicine.

As part of the festival program “Student Spring of VSMU – 2023”, there was a competition which was held at the large sports hall of the university.

First place was taken by the team “715 Team” (dormitories No. 7 and No. 8), second place went to the team “Admission without make-up work” (dormitories No. 4 and No. 5), third place was taken by the team “Peas” (dormitories No. 2 and No. 3), the FOST team was awarded fourth place.

As part of the festival “Student Spring of VSMU – 2023”, there was an intellectual competition called “Brain Ring” which was held at the university on April 18, 2023. The event was attended by 5 teams from different countries: Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, Iran, and Nigeria. The organizers of the game were the volunteers of the group “We Are Together”. The winners of the competition were the teams “A-S-I-A-N” and “Londey-Baaz”.
