On the 27^th of February 2018 the Lecturer of the Chair of Nursing from Tallinn Higher School of Health, coordinator of training activities in Kohtla-Jarve structural unit (Republic of Estonia) Ms. Olesja Zeel visited VSMU.
The guest got acquainted with the structure of our university, its material and technical base, organization of the educational process at the departments of human anatomy and clinical microbiology and also visited the electronic library and anatomical museum.

Ms. Olesja Zeel discussed with the authorities of VSMU issues related to further international cooperation through bilateral interuniversity agreements and expressed interest in future joint projects.

On February 16, a long-awaited event for all of us was held - a new 16-storey students’ hostel №8 was officially opened. This is a real gift for students and their parents, for our university and our city. 470 students of our university will find their new home in this large, beautiful, modern-equipped building. Honored guests were present at our holiday: Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Valery Malashko, Deputy Chairman of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Penin, Chairman of Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaykin, Head of the Health Department of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Yuriy Derkach, Chairman of Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Union of Health Care Workers Vladislav Muzhichenko, General Director of the company “Zhilstroy” Alexander Litvinov.

We had a very successful and international summer school 2017. We have, therefore, decided to repeat our traditional English language and British culture summer school in July and August 2018. A standard application deadline for students requiring a visa will be 6th April 2018 to allow for sufficient time for the visa application process for the July summer school; and 11th May accordingly for the August summer school.

The enrolment is made very easy and we assist your students with their visa applications. No agent fees are involved and we have good discounts for groups arriving. We shall take care of your students from the moment they arrive at the airport in Manchester, and at the end of the summer school we shall bring them back to the same airport again.
