den mam On October 14, 2023 our country celebrates one of the kindest and brightest holidays - Mother's Day!

For a person, there is no one more important in the world than Mother - a woman who gave life, with whose image the most sincere emotions and happy memories are associated. Mother's love lays the foundation for building a whole and strong personality, permeates every aspect of our lives and plays a key role in preserving the traditions and moral values of society.

We are proud of our women-mothers who daily give a piece of their love and care and work for the benefit of our university and state. On this day I would like to thank you for your wisdom and kindness, inexhaustible energy, loyalty and reliability!

Event “Let's congratulate mom together!” at VSMU

On the eve of Mother's Day, which is celebrated in our country on October 14, the trade union committee of students of Vitebsk State Medical University on October 12, 2023 as part of the Republican trade union action “Let's congratulate mom together!” provided an opportunity for students to congratulate their mothers on the upcoming holiday in a very pleasant and sweet way. On the first floor of the laboratory and theoretical building, every student could make a greeting card or write a letter for his beloved mother.

Delegation of VSMU at the XVII Congress of Surgeons of the Republic of Belarus and the scientific and practical conference “Surgery of Belarus - state and development”

On October 12-13, 2023 the XVII Congress of Surgeons of the Republic of Belarus and the scientific and practical conference “Surgery in Belarus - state and development” took place in Mogilev.

The forum was attended by a delegation from VSMU, headed by the head of the department of hospital surgery with the course of FAT&R (Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Anatoly Shchastny.

On October 11, 2023 the first vice-rector of VSMU Alina Shchupakova takes part in a meeting of the Republican Council of Rectors of Higher Educational Establishments. At the meeting, issues of improving the educational sector are discussed, taking into account the tasks that were determined following the meeting with the Head of State, held on September 21, 2023.

VSMU at the XV festival of arts for medical students and medical workers

On October 10, 2023 the grand opening of the XV festival of arts for medical students and medical workers with international participation took place in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation. Nikolai Karyakin, Rector of the Volga Research Medical University, addressed the delegations from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan with a welcoming speech. A delegation from VSMU, headed by Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Boltrushevich, took part in the opening of the festival. Creative teams from our university take part in the competition program of the festival.
