The author of the exhibition of works “Thoughts of My Ships” Daria Lastovaya, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine, presents her works created “on a digital basis and with an extraordinary soul.” To create digital artwork, you need a drawing tablet and a pen. Digital art is a popular trend in media art. The phenomenon of computer aesthetics opens up limitless possibilities for self-expression. Nature has endowed man with the ability to wander through endless seas of information obtained from books, works of music and cinema, theatrical performances. Think, analyze, process, create new things. In the mass of information, it is important not to lose yourself, to hear your inner voice. Remaining ourselves in a changing world is what makes us wiser and stronger!

On February 23, 2024, a festive rally was held in Vitebsk in honor of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, in which the employees of the Vitebsk State Medical University, the representatives of veteran and trade union organizations of the university took part. The participants of the event laid wreaths and flowers at the memorial complex in honor of Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters of the Vitebsk region.

On February 23, 2024, the festive event dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus was held at VSMU.

The Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolai Dorofeev, the Colonel of the Medical Service as well as the Head of the Military Department Igor Lyatos, the Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations as well as the Chairman of the Public Association “Belarusian Union of Women” of VSMU Elena Sharykhina addressed those present with words of congratulations.
