On March 6, 2024, as part of the Republican competition of social youth projects “Youth of Belarus for life, morality and family values,” a photo exhibition was opened telling about the innovative project “Youth of VSMU for family values!” The opening of the exhibition was held by project participants Maria Trush and Anastasia Petukhova, the 2nd year students of the Faculty of Medicine.

On behalf of the university, on March 5, the dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ivan Karpuk, the acting chairman of the VSMU staff PTO, Evgeniy Shabunin, and the staff of the dean’s office of the Faculty of Dentistry congratulated the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics with the FAT and PR course at VSMU on its 20th anniversary.

In the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, the VSMU students and staff pay special attention to the improvement of memorial sites located in Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region.

On March 5, 2024, a team of university staff and students took part in the improvement and restoration of order on the territory of the monument to Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Konstantinovich Horovets.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', from February 11 to March 17, 2024, in the diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the ark with part of the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and the holy relics of the righteous saints Joachim and Anna is being brought.

The shrine will remain in the Vitebsk diocese from March 5 to 8, 2024. The ceremonial meeting of the shrine will take place on March 5 at 10.00 in the Holy Assumption Cathedral in Vitebsk (Krylova St., 9). Schedule of prayer services with an akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos and her righteous holy parents Joachim and Anna in the Holy Dormition Cathedral: 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00, 18.00.

On March 4, 2023, VSMU hosted a meeting between the rector of the university, Alexey Chukanov, and the staff. Among the topics discussed during the event were issues related to the current activities of the university and the results of the election campaign.

Alexey Nikolaevich focused on the prospects for the development of the university, and also thanked the members of the workforce for their active participation in events held as part of the 2024 election campaign.
