On February 24, 2024, the annual mini-football competition among men's and women's Sri Lankan teams, organized by the VSMU Community Council of Sri Lanka, took place in the sports hall of the CSC "Vitebsky". For the first time, a men's team from GrSMU took part in the competition and became a silver medalist. The team "Troizeanz" won the gold in a bitter penalty fight. Among the women's teams, the winner was the team of "Genesis" graduates. The best players and teams received well-deserved awards, and all those present received a lot of emotions and vivid impressions.

On February 23, 2024, a festive rally was held in Vitebsk in honor of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, in which the employees of the Vitebsk State Medical University, the representatives of veteran and trade union organizations of the university took part. The participants of the event laid wreaths and flowers at the memorial complex in honor of Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters of the Vitebsk region.

The Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolai Dorofeev, the Colonel of the Medical Service as well as the Head of the Military Department Igor Lyatos, the Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations as well as the Chairman of the Public Association “Belarusian Union of Women” of VSMU Elena Sharykhina addressed those present with words of congratulations.
